Technology

Technology is an essential component of the overall curriculum at St. Joseph’s School.  We believe the tools of technology support all areas of education.  Students become discerning evaluators of information as they effectively access, analyze and utilize data.

By using technology as a tool for learning, our students develop strong word processing, multimedia, video, presentation and creative skills.  These skills and experiences allow our students to be competitive 21^st century learners and citizens.
 

All classrooms at St. Joseph’s School are equipped with interactive Promethean boards.  Our K-5 students enjoy access to a mobile computer lab of iPads for classroom use as necessary to support learning.  Elementary students visit our school computer lab weekly for technology lessons and instruction.  Students are guided toward developmentally appropriate web-based programs and learning games that support the curriculum.  We instruct our students on the responsible use and application of technology.
